of another shooting moments earlier. we were told that the victim was shot multiple times and is in critical condition. a third shooting of the night brought investigators to the 3500 block of south hanover street in brooklyn. law enforcement officials call it a critical piece of the puzzle when it comes to solving violence crimes but the high court says that officers are no longer allowed to use dna collection on all suspected offenders. the attorney general has filed an appeal maintaining the procedure as minimally invasive and is not violate the fourth amendment right against illegal search and seizure. this was based on the decision of alonzo king jr.. this matches a rape and matches the indictment and conviction in the crime. >> the only invasion of privacy in this case is when the defendant broke into this woman's house and raped her at gunpoint.

>> if the court does not reconsider the ruling in this case, the case will be taken all the way to the u.s. supreme court. a woman remains in the hospital after police say her son stabbed her. the sheriff office said the stabbing took place during some kind of domestic dispute. the woman was flown to shock trauma. police have the sun in custody. no word on what charges he may face. >> it turned out to be another gloomy day. that is holding down temperatures. currently 63 at b.w.i. marshall. a lot of clouds in the sky. we are expecting most of these clouds to stick around. however, if you get a couple of breaks in the cloud cover, it there could be a couple of isolated thunderstorms. that is something that we have

they filmed themselves swimming with dolphins and letting off a fire extinguisher. they woke up with a bird in their apartment, panicked, and set it free. the penguin was later found. they both pleaded guilty for stealing and keeping a protected animal. in new jersey mother faces charges after police say that she brought her 5-year-old daughter into a tanning booth. she is charged with endangering the welfare of a minor. the girl suffered second-degree burns. she said it was a misunderstanding. she said she took her daughter inside of the room that had her weight alone outside. she said that her daughter was never exposed to uv rays. >> it is my little girl. i'm not want to bring my daughter into a 90 degree bed. that is not normal. >> her daughter did get a bit of a sunburn from playing outside. this prevents kids from going

north and east. you don't have to go too far before you see temperatures much warmer. it is also 84 right now in charlottesville, virginia. we were expecting this former aide -- warmer air to push its way into baltimore. it will be cooler than what you expected. we're looking at the temperatures forecast as we go from this time all the way until about 5:00 p.m.. notice this model is taking us only in the 60's. it is not allowing us to warm up with all of the cloud cover. it is putting temperatures in the 80's and 90's. we will fast-forward 24 hours until tomorrow afternoon. what a difference. you can see this model is forecasting as getting into the mid 80's. a big change coming. we expect a lot of clouds and the forecast. maybe some areas get to near 70 degrees. it is more likely that you will

spend most of the day in the 60's. there is still a chance that we will have a thunderstorm popping this afternoon. most areas to stay dry but it is not out of the question to get a few raindrops. the current radar, here is the satellite. all of the clouds from baltimore east, it is the breaking in the cloud cover that concerns us. we will have energy to get the thunderstorms. you still have that on settled boundary right over us. this is a trigger for the storm. if there is a thunderstorm today, it will be isolated, but it could be on the strong side. we are at a real risk for severe weather. mostly cloudy skies, maybe down into the 50's in baltimore. the big warmup, 83. an isolated thunderstorm.
